Aaron's Story
For A.J Bear, qualifying for his second Olympic Games was a remarkable achievement, following three World Cup seasons that were terminated by major injury.
The NSW skier was selected for the Super G in Torino and following some solid training runs on the Sestriere hill he was confident of a top performance. However, luck was not on the 29-year-olds side. Bear completed one good Super G run, only to have the event halted due to deteriorating conditions and re-run later in the day. Bear didn't make it down a second time.
His best Olympic result was 37th in the downhill at Salt Lake 2002.
