A double for Sam in Chelsea’s last game of the Women’s Super League (WSL) season has delivered the club their third consecutive WSL title. While Rebecca McConnell's white-hot start to the 2022 World Cup season is the talk of the mountain biking world.

Trailing 2-1 to Manchester United with the title up for grabs, Sam scored twice in the second half to propel Chelsea to be named best on ground in an eventual 4-2 victory.

Tokyo 2020 silver medallists Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar gave Brazilians Barbara Seixas and Carol Salgado all they could handle, losing 2-1 in the semi-finals (21-17, 17-21, 11-15) to the eventual winners of the Doha World Beach Pro Tour event.
