During the ‘50s and ‘60s Australia produced a procession of the world class milers, including John Landy, Merv Lincoln, Herb Elliott and Albie Thomas. A lesser known was 1956 Olympian Jim Bailey who passed away aged 90 last week (March 31) in Bellingham in Washington State.
