It was a Fox family takeover on the whitewater at Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium, as sisters Jessica and Noemie claimed three gold medals between them.

Jess won gold in the K-1 early in the Games, before going on to defend her Tokyo 2020 title by winning gold in the C-1.

Noemie could not be caught in the kayak cross as she raced to claim gold on her Olympic debut.

Jess paddled her way into the sport's history books, solidifying her position as the most decorated Olympic canoe slalom paddler of all time, with three golds, one silver and two bronze medals to her name.

In the men’s events, Timothy Anderson finished seventh in the K1 in his Olympic debut, while Tristan Carter placed ninth in the C1.

On the flat water, the Men’s Kayak Four claimed silver, edged out by the German Team in an incredible photo finish, who took gold by only 0.04 seconds.

Alyce Wood and Tom Green rounded out the Canoe Sprint competition, having ranked 16th in the women’s K1 500m and 17th in the men’s K1 1000m respectively.
