Miriam Manzano makes top ten at Four Continents

Australian Ladies Figure Skating Champion, Miriam Manzano, finished in 10th place at the Four Continents Champions in Beijing, China, during the week, improving four places from last year's event.

Australian Ladies Figure Skating Champion, Miriam Manzano, finished in 10th place at the Four Continents Champions in Beijing, China, during the week, improving four places from last year's event. The Japanese ladies team, led by World Championship bronze medallist, Fumie Suguri, swept the podium, keeping the USA women out of the medals.

Australia's other ladies competitors, Joanne Carter and Sarah-Yvonne Prytula, placed 15th and 19th.

Miriam will skate in the World Figure Skating Championships in Washington DC, USA, in late March, looking to improve on her 16th place in 2002. This has been the best season of her career, with a silver medal at the Vienna International and seventh place at the Skate America Grand Prix event.
