Greta Small was the best of the Australians in Thursday’s Slalom event, finishing 14th (36.06 FIS Points). Her time of 1:39.68 was also enough to give her the junior bronze medal.
Sydneysider Lavinia Chrystal recorded 26th (68.87 FIS Points) and 25th place (72.21 FIS Points) finishes over the two days of Slalom she contested.
Emily Bamford’s best result was 27th in the Slalom (79.68 FIS Points)- two positions behind Chrystal.
Small then skipped over to Copper Mountain for the NorAm Super G and placed 19th (50.91 FIS Points).
Male racers Mike Rishworth and Luke Laidlaw were troubled at the University Race also in Loveland, with neither finishing their Slalom runs.
Competing in the Beaver Creek World Cup, Luc Chevalier also did not complete his first Giant Slalom run.
Dominic Demschar faced a similar fate in the National Junior Slalom race, not finishing his second run.
