Green & Gold Day is about turning Australia green and gold in support of the Australian Olympic Team.
‘Green & Gold Day' is for everyone. The athletes, the fans, the businesses, the schools, the young, the old and everything in between. It doesn't matter who you are, your sporting ability or your background, we believe sport has the power to unite us all
Today is about painting the country in our national colours and being proud of Australia's sporting achievements, it's about all Australians coming together and celebrating the green and gold.

In preparation for this great day we have worked with a number of government authorities to light a series of public building tonight to support the efforts.
Public Buildings being lit up on the night of Green and Gold Day just prior to super Saturday.
- Perth - Elizabeth Quay, Yagan Square, Bell Tower, Optus Stadium, Council House, East Perth Power Station, Matagarup Bridge, Mt Street Bridge, Joondalup Drive Bridge, Sky Ribbon Bridge, Kids’ Bridge
- Melbourne – Town Hall, Flinders Street Station
- Adelaide – Adelaide Town Hall, Adelaide Oval, Parliament House
- Darwin – Darwin Convention Centre (at the Darwin Waterfront), Cavenagh Street Shade Structure, City of Darwin Civic Centre, Smith and Bennett Street Shade Structures and the Skyline Ferris Wheel
- Brisbane – Kurilpa Bridge, Victoria Bridge, Tropical Dome, Wickham Tce carpark, Reddacliff Place (yellow), Sandgate Town Hall (yellow)
- Sydney – Not participating due to COVID
- Canberra – Royal Australian Mint, the Carillion, Old Parliament House and other buildings in the Parliamentary Triangle
