SPEED SKATING: There is only one thing on Daniel Greig's mind right now - racing.

The 22-year-old speed skater touched down in the Olympic city of Sochi on Sunday afternoon and is thinking of nothing but getting on the ice.

"What I'm looking forward to most of all is racing. Just racing," Greig said with a look of keen anticipation in his eyes.

"I just can't wait to get out on the ice," he said.

Greig won't have to wait long. His first training session at the state of the art venue, the Adler Arena, will be on Monday morning, and he'll be looking to continue his good form which recently saw him win two World Championships silver medals in the 500m.

"I'm making a few people nervous," he said with a laugh, looking around at his mates from the Dutch Olympic Team who he travelled with to Sochi.

With just days before the Speed Skating competition gets underway, Greig will be looking to settle quickly into the Athletes' Village and get to know the venue, ahead of the biggest races of his life.
