Diving – World Aquatics Diving World Cup
The first of three meets of the 2024 World Aquatics Diving World Cup kicks off in Montreal, Canada from today 29 February to Sunday 3 March.
Rio 2016 bronze medallists, Maddison Keeney and Anabelle Smith will be out to repeat their silver medal performance at the recent World Championships in the women’s synchronised 3m springboard.
Emily Meaney and Georgia Sheehan will make their first international appearance for 2024 in the women’s 10m platform and 3m springboard respectively.
In the men’s events, Shixin Li will compete in the men’s 3m springboard while fellow South Australian Jaxon Bowshire will line up alongside Cassiel Rousseau in the men’s 10m platform.
Cassiel will get another opportunity to compete with his diving partner Domonic Bedggood in the men’s 10m synchronised.

Shooting
Competition continues for Aussie shooting athletes vying for Olympic qualification as pistol and shotgun disciplines are about to enter their fourth and final domestic competition as part of this year’s nomination process.
At the conclusion of this weekend’s events, the top 3 athletes on the leaderboards will be selected to compete in international competitions in April and May, which act as the second competition component for those in contention for Olympic selection.
Shotgun – Yarra Valley Grand Prix
Held in Lilydale, Victoria from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 March, shotgun athletes will compete in the Yarra Valley Grand Prix.
Pistol – BISC Cup 2
From Friday 1 to Sunday 3 March, pistol athletes are competing in the BISC 2 Cup in Brisbane.

Athletics – World Athletics Indoor Championships
Six of Australia’s elite track and field athletes are ready to take on the World Athletics Indoor Championships competition in Glasgow, Scotland from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 March.
On the track, Olympians Catriona Bisset (800m), Linden Hall (1500m), Jessica Hull (3000m), and Michelle Jenneke (60m hurdles) are lined up to compete against the fierce international competition in their respective heats.
Meanwhile in the field, Olympians Kurtis Marschall and Nicola Olyslagers are eager to take on new heights in the men’s pole vault and women’s high jump, respectively.

Rugby 7s – SVNS Series
The fifth stop on the SVNS World Series takes the Aussie 7s teams to Los Angeles, United States from Friday 1 March to Sunday 3 March.
The teams will be looking to bounce back from their 4th and 10th place finishes last week in Vancouver.

Skateboarding – Street – World Skateboarding Tour
The World Skateboarding Tour has brought 10 Aussie street skateboarders to Dubai, UAE from Sunday 3 March to 10 March.
Tokyo 2020 Olympian Shane O’Neill is joined by X-Games gold medallist Chloe Covell and seven of Australia’s top street skateboarders; Tommy Flynn, Rome Collyer Daniel Woolley, Jack Lewis, Haylie Powell, Olivia Lovelace, Felicity Turner and Ella Ledginham.

Sailing – World Championships
Olympic hopefuls in the 49er, 49erFX and Mixed 470 classes are set to sail the Spanish waters at the World Championships from Monday 4 to Sunday 10 March.
Australia has already secured the Paris Olympic nation quota in all three classes but is yet to announce which teams will represent the green and gold in Marseille this July.
Nia Jerwood and Conor Nicholas will represent Australia in the Mixed 470 class, whilst the teams of Jim Colley/Shaun Connor and Tom Burton/Max Paul will contest the 49er class.
Three teams will compete in the 49erFX, Laura Harding/Annie Wilmot, Olivia Price/Evie Haseldine, and Mina Ferguson/Dervla Duggan.

Boxing – Olympic Qualifying Tournament 1
The penultimate chance for boxers to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games lies in Arsizio, Italy from Monday 4 March to 11 March.
Australia has already qualified 12 of the possible 13 quotas for Paris 2024, leaving the men’s 92kg division quota unfilled. Adrian Paoletti will represent Australia, needing to place in the top 4, in his second final bid for Olympic qualification.

Beach Volleyball – Pro Tour Elite 16
Zach Schubert and Tom Hodges will play in the qualification rounds of the Pro Tour in Doha, Qatar, vying for one of four spots remaining in the Elite 16 draw.

Modern Pentathlon – UIPM World Cup
Aussie modern pentathletes are embarking on their path to Paris 2024, starting with the Challenger event and World Cup 1 held in Cairo, Egypt from Tuesday 5 to Monday 10 March.
Genevieve van Rensburg is set to contest the UIPM World Cup series in the lead up to the Paris Olympic Games.

Surfing – ISA World Surf Games
The Irukandjis are still in contention for additional Paris 2024 quota spots in both the men’s and women’s competitions, where the top ranked nations at the ISA World Surf Games will earn a third and final quota for their country.
Currently in round 4 of the heats, Sally Fitzgibbons and Molly Picklum in the women’s and Jack Robinson and Ethan Ewing in the men’s are on track to contest the finals, held on Sunday 3 March.
