Scotty James and Valentino Guseli

Ten Aussies will be on our screens across five sports during day seven of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Snowboard

The men’s Snowboard halfpipe finals will be one of the premium events of the Games as Scotty James and Valentino Guseli are going for gold.

It will be another chapter of a storied rivalry between Scotty James, a four-time Olympian and PyeongChang 2018 bronze medallist, and Shaun White, the greatest snowboarder of all-time from the USA appearing at his fifth and final Olympics.

Scotty has the benefit of recently winning gold at the X Games three weeks ago in Aspen, USA. He finished qualifying ranked 2nd.

Anything is possible from Olympic debutant Valentino Guseli, who made a statement in qualifying with his trademark big air and impressive composure. The 16-year-old finished Wednesday’s qualification round ranked 5th.

Each competitor will get three runs on the halfpipe, with their highest score (each out of 100) used to determine their overall ranking. The highest ranked athlete the determines the medals.

Catch it all live from 12:30pm AEDT on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Alpine Skiing

Greta Small hits the slopes at the Yanqing National Alpine Skiing Centre on the speed course for the women’s super-g competition.

The women’s alpine program has had plenty of drama so far. Challenging conditions, iced gates and the slope are proving to be too much for even the most experienced racers.

Skiers will negotiate a series of flags placed at intervals down the run, on the longest and least winding alpine course at the Olympics.

Greta will be looking to improve on her result from PyeongChang 2018 when she placed 31st.

Watch the Aussie in action from 2pm AEDT on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Skeleton

Jackie Narracott is set to start her second Olympics in Skeleton with women’s heats one and two.

The 31-year-old from Queensland won Australia's first ever World Cup gold medal in skeleton just last month.

Nick Timmings, after competing in heats one and two on Thursday, occupies 25th position heading into men’s heats three and four on day seven.

With all the action at the Yanqing National Sliding Centre, Australia will be watching eagerly as both athletes launch themselves down the icy track known as ‘the Dragon’.

Watch Jackie from 12:30pm AEDT and catch Nick from 11:20pm AEDT on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Short Track Skating

Brendan Corey will be back on the ice for the men’s 500m heats at the Capital Indoor Stadium.

Having made the top 16 in his 1000m competition earlier in Beijing, Brendan will be eager to make his presence known to the stacked competition.

The two fastest athletes in each heat and the four fastest 3rd placed athletes qualify to the quarter-finals. If Brendan is a qualifier, he will return for the finals on Sunday.

See Brendan in qualifying from 10:15pm AEDT on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Cross-Country Skiing

After the women’s 10km classic was held yesterday, the men are up for their 15km classic today.

The men’s field will feature Aussies Phill Bellingham, Seve de Campo, Hugo Hinckfuss and Lars Young Vik.

Athletes being one at a time on 30-second intervals, with the best-ranked skiers the last to start. Skiers race against the clock and the winner is the competitor with the quickest time.

Watch them live from 6pm AEDT on Channel 7 and 7plus.
