Athletics
The women’s marathon at 8am (4pm AEST) is the first competition event on the final day of Paris 2024 and the closing event of Australia's spectacular athletics action.
Australia is represented by three ‘Marathon Mums’ who boast world-class credentials. National record holder Sinead Diver (2:21.34), 2022 Commonwealth Games champion Jessica Stenson and Genevieve Gregson at her fourth Olympics.
Sinead finished 10th at the Tokyo Olympics, the highest placing of any Australian woman outside of 1988 silver medallist Lisa Ondieki.
Basketball
If the Opals can rebound from the semi-finals loss to the United States of America, they could still leave Paris with an Olympic medal in their hands.
They’ll play Belgium for bronze on Sunday at 7:30pm AEST and if they were to take the win, it would be their first Olympic medal since London 2012.

Belgium has never won an Olympic medal in women’s Basketball and the Opals won the last head-to-head matchup 86-69 at the 2022 FIBA World Cup.
Cycling - Track
Georgia Baker is set to line up in her third event of the Games with the women’s Omnium from 7pm AEST.
Having already raced the Team Pursuit and Madison, Georgia will be Australia’s representative in the Omnium which involves four separate races - a points, tempo, scratch and elimination race.

Other medals to be decided on the final day include the men’s Keirin and women’s Sprint.
