World Cup speed events return to Europe this weekend, with OWI skier AJ Bear aiming for another top 30 spot in Val Gardena/Groeden, Italy. The Val Gardena program includes a super G and a downhill. AJ recorded the best result of his career in Val Gardena last season, a 21st in super G.
Skiing Australia/New South Wales Institute of Sport skier Jenny Owens will compete in women’s downhill and super G in St Moritz, Switzerland, at the weekend, also at a venue where she has had her best results.
In December 1999 Jenny produced her first top 30 result in downhill, a 29th, and in December 2001 she had a career-best 27th.
