The Australian Olympic Committee today published the list of nominees who will stand for election to the organisation’s Executive at its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The AOC’s Executive, or board, includes 10 elected positions and other ex-officio positions.
The elected positions include the President, two Vice Presidents, and seven other members.
The ex-officio positions include any IOC Members resident in Australia, the Chief Executive Officer, and the Chair of the AOC’s Athletes’ Commission.
At the close of nominations yesterday, there was one nomination for President, two nominations for the two positions of Vice President, and 13 nominations for the seven other elected positions.
As per the Organisation’s Constitution, the election of the President, Vice Presidents and other elected members takes place at the first AGM following a Summer Olympic Games. This election will occur on Saturday 3 May 2025.

As there are more than seven candidates for the position of elected member of the Executive, such positions will be decided by separate exhaustive ballots. Further information regarding the voting process will be distributed to voting delegates with the Agenda for the AGM.
