The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has welcomed the appointment of Winter Olympians Sami Kennedy-Sim and Jackie Narracott as 'Athlete Role Models' for the Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG).
Selected by the International Federations of winter sports on the Gangwon 2024 YOG program, Jackie and Sami are two of 11 Olympians worldwide selected to mentor and encourage all YOG competitors at the Games in Korea next year.
The Athlete Role Model program is a feature of Youth Olympic Games, with Olympians giving back to their sporting communities, helping guide and support young athletes through the Games.

"Jackie and Sami have both demonstrated their leadership and passion to help improve those around them across multiple Olympic campaigns.

"These young athletes are the new wave of winter sports and a YOG is an amazing stepping stone to help these young participants grow as athletes and people. It's an honour to be one of the 11 Winter Olympians invited to play a role in helping them make the most of their experience."
