Annika first started ice hockey when she was nine after a new ice rink opened near her home. Six years later, Annika is now a key member of the Arctic Foxes women's team.
Annika is inspired by strong female athletes, including her first ice hockey coach who had played for Australia and Matilda’s captain Sam Kerr as she believes they pave the way for women in sport and show that female athletes can have a career in sport.
When she is not training, you can find Annika playing football for fun or playing the flute.
