ABOUT MATTHEW

A newcomer to the sport, Matthew first started biathlon in November 2020 after developing an interest in mixing cross country skiing and shooting. Immediately taking to the sport, Matthew quickly rose through the junior ranks.

While Matthew has found it challenging to train independently, he has achieved a lot in his short career including winning the Victorian Interschools for cross-country skiing and placing third in the Victorian Biathlon Championships. Most recently, Matthew was named to the 2023-2024 Biathlon Australia Junior Team.

The Australian Olympic Committee acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this nation.
