Alessandra was just three years old when she first clicked into a pair of skis. When she was in year one, she started racing in Interschools competitions where she first tried cross-country skiing. A few years later, she was introduced to the sport of biathlon by her coach, 2014 Winter Olympian Lucy Glanville, and was immediately hooked.
Alessandra loves the challenge of skiing as fast as possible, before needing to drop her heart rate to be able to shoot accurately. She also loves being able to push her body and mind to the limit in every race she competes in. In 2022, Alessandra was selected to compete in the Youth and Junior World Championships in Utah, USA which she considers a career highlight.
