The Australian Olympic and Paralympic Team Appeal assists in raising the required funds to send the Australian teams to Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games and is a unified fund capturing all State and Territory Government, corporate and philanthropic contributions.
Although the Australian Olympic Committee and Paralympics Australia are two separate organisations, we are working together in our fundraising activities for the benefit of Australia’s Olympic and Paralympic Athletes.
The significant cost to prepare and send the Australian Olympic Team to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games is in the vicinity of $25 million. The funds are raised solely through the Australian Olympic Committee’s Corporate Sponsorship and the Australian Olympic Team Appeal. The Australian Olympic Committee does not seek or receive Federal Government funding.
The fundraising target for our 2024 Australian Olympic Team Appeal is $8 million.
The events delivered by the Australian Olympic Team Appeal Committees in each State/Territory make it possible to send our athletes to the Olympic Games and represent Australia.
