The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games will mark the fourth time Italy has hosted the Olympics and will be the 35th Winter Olympic Games.
With the sports and venues spread across the city of Milan and the slopes of Cortina, it takes the Winter Olympics into Milan for the first time. Previous Olympic Games hosted by Italy were Cortina D'Ampezzo 1956, the Rome 1960 Summer Games and Torino 2006.
The Opening Ceremony is set for the 6th of February and paves the way for 16 days of competition, concluding with the Closing Ceremony on the 22nd of February. Events in Ice Hockey, Snowboard Big Air and Curling will start in the two days before the Opening Ceremony.

These will be the most gender-balanced Winter Olympic Games in history as 47 percent of the athletes will be female.

Fans wanting to attend the Games can register their interest now on the official ticketing platform. Those registered by the 15th of January 2025 will be the first to get offered access to the full range of tickets that go on sale on the 6th of February 2025.
