The fourth Winter Youth Olympic Games will take place in the province of Gangwon in the Republic of Korea, hosts of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

This will be the first Winter Youth Olympics to be held in Asia and will build on the Olympic Games legacy to engage more young people through various activities before, throughout and after the Games.

The vision of Gangwon 2024 is to let the youth celebrate peaceful coexistence and unity through sport to create a better future together.

Gangwon 2024 will benefit from many of the facilities used for PyeongChang 2018, where participating athletes will have the opportunity to compete in some of the same sites as Olympians.

1,900 athletes from all over the world will compete in 15 sports and 81 events.

Australia's largest ever Winter Youth Olympic Team is competing at Gangwon 2024. The 47-strong Australian Team will compete across eight disciplines between 19 January to 1 February 2024.
