The Australian Olympic Change-Maker program recognises secondary students from around the country who demonstrate the Olympic spirit – friendship, sportsmanship and striving for excellence - both on and off the playing field, through leadership and driving positive change in their school and local communities.
The Change-Maker program provides students with the opportunity to share their ideas, connect with other like-minded people and be immersed in a unique Olympic experience, hearing first-hand from Olympians.
How It Works
The Australian Olympic Change-Maker program celebrates young Australians who ‘Power the Change’. This is an opportunity to have your students recognised for their fantastic work in creating positive social impact.
Teachers are invited to nominate up to TWO Year 10, 11 or 12 students who actively demonstrate leadership through sport and/or use sport as a vehicle to improve health and wellbeing and drive social change in their school and/or local community.
All nominated students will receive an invitation to our Change-Maker Forum and a certificate of recognition. They will also be encouraged to submit a one-minute video expressing their interest in attending our National Summit, where up to 25 young leaders from across the country will come together at the Australian Institute of Sport for a three-day event.
