In July 2024, France will open its doors to the world, as it hosts the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. To celebrate Paris 2024, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) is proud to present, Amis 2024.

Amis 2024 connects Australian and French schools, giving teachers and students the opportunity to foster friendships and experience a cultural exchange, aligned with the Olympic values of friendship, respect and excellence.

'Amis 2024' translates as 'Friends 2024' and signifies the foundation of the program being built on friendship between countries.

Amis 2024 will capture the International Olympic Committee's aim of 'building a better world through sport' and we look forward to Australian and French schools joining us on the road to Paris 2024.

How It Works

The Australian Olympic Connect Program celebrates the development of international relationships through education.

Amis 2024 encourages students to connect with their peers internationally and is an opportunity for students to discover the Olympic Movement while creating friendship across the world. Uniting youth internationally to celebrate the Olympic Spirit.

Phryges Paris 2024

Program Guide

A program guide will be provided for educators to assist delivering Amis 2024 to their class and inspire them to help them maximise their experience. The guide will include proposed activities to encourage students to: 

  • Share an insight into their school and culture
  • Discover the Olympic Movement
  • Learn more about the Olympic Games and Olympic sports
  • Support their country's teams
  • Encourage participation in sport

Register Now

Registration is essential and limited places are available. There is no cost associated with the program and the registration period will close on Monday 6 May 2024. 

Once registrations have closed, the AOC Connect Team will match classes between Australia, the French Territories and metropolitan France.
