Isabella found a passion for athletics after watching events with her parents, particularly watching the replays of Cathy Freeman's 400m final at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
She started in athletics as a six-year-old to pursue her love of running, the outdoors and being active, following in her parents' footsteps at that age.
Her sporting idol is 400m hurdler Sydney McLaughlin (USA), citing how she conducts herself on and off the track and how effortless she makes the 400m Hurdles look.
