ABOUT CONNOR
Having a triple jump triple Olympian for a father (Andrew Murphy) definitely paved the way for Connor Murphy when settling on a sport he enjoyed. With Athletics always playing a large role in Connor’s family, he had the motivation, inspiration, and competitiveness to try and accomplish what his father did.
Starting athletics at the age of six at Sydney’s Inner West Little Athletics Club, Connor grew to love it. He competed in many athletics events throughout high school, including the 100m, 200m, long jump and triple jump. Now at a university level, he competed at the 2023 World University Games for Sydney University in Chengdu, China placing 4th, narrowly missing the podium by 36cm.
