Australia concluded its World Rowing Cup campaign today, with the Men’s and Women’s Fours winning gold medals in convincing style in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Australia’s Men’s and Women’s Eights have won big at the 2018 Henley Royal Regatta. Racing as the Georgina Hope Rinehart National Training Centre, Australia won the Grand Challenge Cup, for Open Men’s Eights, and the Remenham Challenge Cup, for Open Women’s Eights.
The Australian Rowing Team wrapped up its World Rowing Cup 2 campaign on Sunday with two gold medals and two bronze medals. Australia’s Men’s and Women’s Fours both won gold medals, while the Women’s Quadruple Scull and the Women’s Eight both won bronze medals at the event in Linz, Austria.
Olympic rower James Chapman has today formally announced his retirement from rowing. Chapman represented Australia at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic Games, as well as at multiple World Rowing Championships and World Rowing Cups.
