Three rainbows on offer on Day 1 in Hong Kong

TRACK CYCLING: Australia opens its 2017 Track Cylcing World Championships campaign with a rainbow jersey defense straight out of the gate in Wednesday afternoon's opening session in Hong Kong.

Reigning world champions Sam Welsford (WA) and Alex Porter (SA) will begin their title defense in the men's team pursuit with 2010 world champion Cameron Meyer (WA) and debutant Kelland O’Brien (VIC) at approx 430pm.
In the women's qualifying, 2015 world champions Ashlee Ankudinoff (NSW) and Amy Cure (TAS) will line up with dual reigning individual pursuit world champion Rebecca Wiasak (ACT) and debutant Alexandra Manly (SA) from 3pm local time.
The evening session, which begins from 7pm local time, will see Australia’s team sprint outfits take to the track.
In the men’s event, 2012 team sprint world champion Matthew Glaetzer (SA) will team with Nathan Hart (ACT) and Jacob Schmid (VIC), while a new look women’s combination will see three-time world champion Kaarle McCulloch (NSW) partner Rio Olympian Stephanie Morton (SA).
Teenage debutant Kristina Clonan (QLD) will open her elite campaign in the women’s scratch race final.
