Three months on - Relive Buenos Aires 2018

BUENOS AIRES 2018: It’s been three months since 88 young Aussie athletes from 26 sports travelled to Buenos Aires to represent Australia at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG).
Buenos Aires 2018 was a game changer for the YOG, introducing four new sports and some of the most innovative ideas to celebrate the world’s elite youth athletes.

The Opening Ceremony was held in the widest avenue in the world, bringing together tens of thousands of athletes and officials from across the globe in a massive street party.
Under the guidance of Chef De Mission Evelyn Halls and Young Changemaker Chloe Esposito, the Aussie YOG squad made their nation proud, bringing home 16 individual and five team medals.
We look back on Buenos Aires 2018 as a huge success, unearthing the young guns who may go on to become the heroes of Tokyo 2020.
