Katz brothers' #OlympicTakeover
27 May 2019
JUDO: Nathan and Josh Katz made history when they became the first brothers to compete in judo at the same Games for Australia at Rio 2016.
At the age of 18 and 220 days, Josh made more history as Australia’s youngest ever male judoka at an Olympic Games.
Both finished 17th and in the top half of their fields in their respective weight categories at Rio.
Three years’ later, and the brothers have their sights firmly set on a second Olympic experience at Tokyo 2020. As they work towards qualifying for next year's Games, the pair took over our Instagram account last week to show us a day in their life.
Check out their #OlympicTakeover below.
The following day, the duo kicked off the Olympics Unleashed program in NSW, inspiring more than 200 secondary school students at Cronulla High School in Sydney’s south.
Between training towards Tokyo 2020 and inspiring students to follow their passion, Josh and Nathan’s fighting spirit is evident in everything they do.
