John Coates has been re-elected President of the Australian Olympic Committee following a vote at this morning’s AGM.

Coates won the vote 58 to Danni Roche’s 35.
Coates has been President of the Australian Olympic Committee since 1990 and a Vice President of the International Olympic Committee since 2013.
He will continue on his roles with the IOC which include being the Chair of the IOC Coordination Commission for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Ian Chesterman and Helen Brownlee were elected for the two Vice President roles.
