Zeke's Story

Zeke Steggall is a two-time Olympian who competed in snowboard at the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano 1998 and Salt Lake City 2002. He contested the parallel giant slalom in 2002 finishing 26th and the giant slalom in 1998 finishing 28th.

At the time, the boy from Manly was one of the world’s premier snowboarders, however his best event, the snowboard cross was not yet on the Olympic program. Steggall’s illustrious career includes a bronze medal in the snowboard cross at the 1999 World Championships, five World Cup wins, a third in the 2000 SBX World Cup ranking and nine Australian Championship titles.

Steggall is the older brother of Olympic medallist Zali Steggall, who won a bronze medal in women’s slalom at the Nagano Winter Olympics, becoming the first woman and the first skier ever to win a Winter Olympic medal for Australia.
