Tessa's Story

Tessa Wallace's win in the 200m breaststroke at the 2012 Olympic Trials secured her a place on her first Olympic Team. The win was especially impressive as the 18-year-old had overcome a serious knee injury and a bout of Ross River fever that saw her nearly quit the sport.

She went on to make the semi-final of the 200m breaststroke at the London 2012 Games where she finished eighth.

Wallace made her international swimming debut at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India where she produced a fantastic swim to finish with the silver medal behind Olympic champion Leisel Jones. She also represented Australia at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games in the 200m breaststroke.
