Born in Lincoln, Nebraska Shawn Redhage debuted in the NBL in 2004, playing for the New Zealand Breakers. In 2005 he joined the Perth Wildcats and settled in Australia. He was naturalised and became an Australian citizen on 12 January 2008. Redhage played for Australia at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
