Scott's Story
Scott Charles Fisher is a former Australian basketball player who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in San Jose, California, on 20 July 1963, Fisher became one of the most influential imports-turned-Australians in National Basketball League history.
At Atlanta 1996, Fisher was a member of the Australian Boomers team that achieved a fourth-place finish, one of Australia's best results in men's Olympic basketball at the time.
Fisher enjoyed an outstanding NBL career with the North Melbourne Giants and Perth Wildcats. He won three NBL championships, was named league MVP twice, earned multiple All-NBL selections and was later inducted into the Australian Basketball Hall of Fame. After retiring as a player, he moved into coaching, including serving as head coach of the Perth Wildcats.
