Scott's Story
Selected to compete in the Mountain Bike event at the Rio Olympic Games, Scott Bowden got more than he bargained for when his first ride in Olympic competition was in the road race on the opening day of Rio 2016.
Riding to help set up medal chance Richie Porte, Bowden provided great support for the Australian contingent before pulling out of the race. A fortnight later he lined up in his pet event when he hit the mountain for the cross country event where he finished in 36th, a lap down on the medallists.
