Rowing Womens Eight (W8+)
Sarah Heard made her Australian rowing team debut in 2005 competing in the stroke seat of the eight. The Australians won gold in a thrilling 2005 World Championship final. Heard stroked her Victorian team to three consecutive Australian Championships 2006-2008 and was then chosen in the eight at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Heard also won a silver medal and two bronze medals at the 2003 AYOF.
