Aged 22, Ryan Langham made his Olympic debut, competing in boxing at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Competing in the 57kg featherweight division, Langham lost his preliminary bout to Romanian boxer Viorel Simion. In the lead up to the Games, Langham was a three-time state champion and national champion and had represented Australia 13 times internationally.
