Robyn's Story

Robyn Selby Smith made her rowing debut for Australia in 2004 and a year later was a double world champion. The Canberra won gold in the women's four and women's eight at the 2005 World Championships in Gifu, Japan. She moved to the women’s eight and helped Australia qualify the boat for the 2008 Games but did not go on to compete in Beijing.

Making her Olympic debut at the London 2012 Games in the women’s eight, Selby Smith and the Australian crew made the A Final finishing in sixth place. The USA beat Canada and the Netherlands for the gold medal.
