Phoebe Stanley

Having been overlooked for selection in the women’s eight for the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, Phoebe Stanley made her Olympic debut four years later as part of the women’s eight. The Victorian had stroked the crew to victory at the final qualification regatta in Lucerne. Stanley and the Australian crew made the A Final finishing in sixth place. The USA beat Canada and the Netherlands for the gold medal.

Stanley competed at two World Championships winning bronze in the four in 2007 and fourth in the pair in 2010.
