Peter's Story

Peter Brockhoff competed in Alpine Skiing at the 1960 Squaw Valley and 1964 Innsbruck Olympic Winter Games. At Squaw Valley, Brockhoff was 30th in the Slalom and 57th in the Downhill although he was disqualified in the Giant Slalom.

In 1964, Brockhoff lost his teammate and friend Ross Milne in a training accident prior to the start of the Games. Brockhoff still contested the Giant Slalom (placing 62nd) but withdrew from the downhill event, saying "I simply cannot compete on this course where I lost my best friend".

Brockhoff’s niece competed in Snowboard Cross at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
