Paul's Story

Paul Haydon Greene is a former Australian sprinter who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games in the 400 metres and 4 × 400-metre relay. Born in Sydney on 9 December 1972, Greene was one of Australia's leading quarter-milers during the 1990s.

At Atlanta 1996, Greene competed in the individual 400 metres, advancing to the quarter-finals, and was also a member of Australia's 4 × 400-metre relay team. His personal best of 45.16 seconds was achieved that same year.

Prior to his Olympic appearance, Greene represented Australia at Commonwealth Games, World Championships and World Junior Championships, winning a bronze medal in the 4 × 400-metre relay at the 1990 World Junior Championships. After retiring from athletics, he pursued a successful career as a musician and coach.
