Natalie's Story

Natalie Saville made her international race walking debut at the 1994 world juniors, finishing 11th. Her senior debut was three years later at the 1997 World Walking Cup. After some successful years as a senior race walker, Saville qualified for the Australian Olympic Team, making her debut at the 2004 Athens Olympics. She contested the 20km road walk, finishing 36th in a time of 1:36.54.

Saville's older sister Jane is a four-time Olympian in race walking. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games, Natalie claimed the silver medal in the 20km walk, behind Jane who took gold.
