Matthew's Story

Matthew Inabinet made his Olympic debut at Athens in 2004, competing in the 10m air rifle event. He had previously shot a new Oceania Record at the 2003 Oceania Championships in Auckland, New Zealand. At the Oceania Championships in 2007 in Sydney, Inabinet came first in the 10m air rifle, qualifying him a spot on his second Olympic Team – for Beijing 2008. Inabinet competed in the 10m air rifle and the 50m rifle 3 positions, finishing 45th and 47th respectively. In both Athens and Beijing, Inabinet was the youngest member of the Australian shooting team.
