Kyla's Story
Kyla Bremner was born in Canada and moved to Australia at the age of 21 in 1998. Ten years later Bremner became the first ever Australian female wrestler to compete at the Olympic Games, placing 17th in Beijing in 2008. Her wrestling career began at the age of 17 after seeing it contested at her Canadian University. Bremner trained at the AIS from 1999 and narrowly missed qualification to compete in Athens in 2004. Bremner has also completed a degree in medicine.
