Julien's Story
Julien Prosser is one of Australia's most accomplished beach volleyball players, representing Australia at three consecutive Olympic Games: Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004. Born in Bunbury, Western Australia, on 11 June 1972, Prosser helped establish Australia as a competitive force in international beach volleyball.
At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Prosser and partner Leo Zahner finished ninth in the men's beach volleyball tournament. The pair repeated that result at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, while Prosser achieved his best Olympic performance in Athens 2004, partnering Mark Williams to finish fourth.
A 14-time Australian beach volleyball champion, Prosser competed in more than 140 FIVB World Tour events during an outstanding international career. Following his retirement, he remained heavily involved in Australian sport administration and Olympic programs, continuing to promote the growth of beach volleyball throughout Australia.
