Joel Milburn competed in his first Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, finishing sixth in the men’s 4x400m relay and 13th in the individual event over the same distance. Four years on he was selected to compete at the London Games but with strong depth in Australia’s 4x400m relay squad, Milburn did not get to run.
