1977 –
Glenn Ashby, from country Victoria, joined Darren Bundock in the Tornados in 2005 and by Beijing 2008 they had won two world championships and entered the Olympic sailing regatta as the leading contender for the gold medal. In Qingdao where the sailing regatta was held, Ashby and Bundock finished second behind the Spanish crew. Bundock had previously won a silver medal, with John Forbes, in the same category of boat at Sydney 2000.
