Georgia's Story

Victorian gymnast Georgia Bonora made her Olympic debut at 18 years of age at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. In Beijing, she finished 13th in the women’s individual all-around and 6th in the team competition. Bonora accepted an AIS scholarship in 2006, performing a personal best the same year at the World Championships, helping her team to 6th place. Bonora competed in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, bring home a gold (team), silver (uneven bars) and a bronze (all-around). Also in 2010, she placed 6th in the team competition at the World Championships in Rotterdam.

At her second Olympic campaign in London 2012, Bonora contested the beam and uneven bars as well as the team event. Her best result was on beam where she finished equal 43rd alongside teammate Ashleigh Brennan.
