Fiona Johnson won a silver medal at the 2001 Sydney Youth Olympic Festival. In 2008 Johnson was due to make her Olympic debut but tore her hamstring in a practice match days before the start of the Games. Johnson was ruled out of Olympic competition. In 2010 Johnson won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.
