Elisa's Story
In early 2012, young archer Elisa Barnard won the Oceania Championships in New Zealand to claim a female quota spot for Australia at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Barnard then placed 17th at the final Olympic qualification tournament in Utah to confirm her spot on the Team. She placed 58th in the ranking round before going down to Denmark’s Carina Christiansen in her first elimination match.
Barnard also competed at the 2009 Australian Youth Olympic Festival where she collected a gold medal.
