Clyde Hefer

New South Welshmen Clyde Hefer won a bronze medal with the men’s eight in 1984. The other rowers in the eight were James Battersby, Ian Edmunds, Steve Evans, Craig Muller, Sam Patten, Ion Popa, Gavin Thredgold (cox) and Tim Willoughby. It was one of three medals Australia won in rowing in 1984, and Australia’s first medal in the prestigious men’s eight event since 1968.
